This next section contains links to Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs).

Whilst failure to comply with an ACOP is not in itself an offence, the failure may be taken to Court in criminal proceedings as proof that a person has contravened the regulation to which the ACOP relates.

There are very few (if any) codes of practice which are available on-line. They can be purchased from most good bookshops, most larger on-line bookshops or direct from HSE books at www.hsebooks.co.uk
